HALEVAI

I listened very closely to THE SPEECH. The words flowed like a spring breeze over the airlines and I couldn't help thinking...wow the man can talk. But we all know that.
Today I am going to give him a break. And wait twenty-four hours and listen to all the talking heads both on TV and my friends the bloggers.

And maybe wishes do come true.
Buckwheat wished he had a watermelon.
Bubbie Channah A'H wished she would win the lottery.
I wish everyone sleeps soundly in their own beds.
From my heart Mr. President...AHLEVAI!!!

Halevai is a Yiddish word that means...'if only'...'don't I wish'

Halevai - We Wish
Lyrics: Ehud Manor
Music and singing: Boaz Sharabi

We wish
That from the cloud a rainbow will come down
We wish
That this world will be better some day

We wish
That a new day will come out of the storm
We wish
That the present will last forever

We wish
That grass will grow in the desert
We wish
That we will be able to live in the shade of the fig tree again.

We wish not to hurt
And one will love another
We wish
That the gates of heaven will reopen

We wish
for East and West to join together
We wish
To be able to live like in the old days.

We wish
That one nation will not fight against another
We wish
To never stop hoping

We wish
For man to be passionate till evening
We wish
To have another chance with love

Have a great day...stay safe...and thanks for dropping in.

Ah, but we "know". Similar to the Pharaoh of Egypt in the Torah. We must not listen to the words, but look at the heart.
