WITH ALL GOOD INTENTIONS
As much as I have tried to keep my blog up-to-date, I just seem to get bogged down with family issues and life in general. So my New Year's resolution...Rosh Ha Shanah :)...is that I will try better.
It isn't, God forbid, that I don't have what to say. Moi??? Never!!!
So, here we go. My thoughts for today are these:
Thank you France...I never thought I'd say that...for getting a letter to Gilad Schalit, our soldier captured by Hamas 28 months ago. Other than being allowed his glasses from home, this is the first letter he's received.
I am on a final...for the time being...polishing up of my novel 'Emma Shelby is No More' and the plan is that it will be done by January when off she goes to California.
I am almost finished my next novel 'Jerusalem Stones' which started out to tell one story and ended up telling another. And, the whole is bigger and better than the sum of the parts. Well, I think so, anyways.
I don't understand how anyone could vote for Barak Obama. I know, I know...I have my friends and family in the States sending me gazillion emails telling me where I am way off base. But 'splain me Lucy. Why? All I can come up with is that Hillary paid for people not liking her husband and the rest want to get rid of the Republicans at any and all costs. But, as I keep asking my fine family and friends...what if I am right and you are wrong? What is the plan? I asked the same of my left-wing friends who insisted that leaving Lebanon and the Gaza Strip would bring Valahlla. I asked them...what if you are wrong? What is the plan? They, as the Obama folk, just say nothing. See, they don't have a plan. And we all know what happened here in Israel. So I think instead of getting Valhalla we are going to get Oy Vey instead. Time will tell.
I am finally over the jet-lag from my trip to the States. Let me tell you that was the very best trip I have had ever ever ever. What a treat! Thank you--you know who you are.
Bubbie Channah is still pulling herself together after her terrible bout with shingles and then her fall. Slowly but surely she is climbing back out of the months of pain and misery. Poor Bubbie Channah. Not fair!
Dovidle and Maeshey are together in Colorado this weekend. I want to play too.
And, finally. Guess what I discovered...never mind I'll tell you. Turtle Dairy Queens. If you are lucky enough to live in a place where they have them run, don't walk, to your nearest branch and order a big one. And take a bite...no fifty, for me!
Ambrosia!
The holidays are over and tomorrow we go back to work and school and life. Yahooo. Loved the holidays and love getting back into my old routine. It rained yesterday. I love the rain and it's supposed to rain again this week. Yahoooo.
Have a great day...stay safe...and thanks for dropping in.

PS. Yay! for the books and Yay! for the rain!
Keep the Gilad Schalit notices updated. We hear so little in the states. We wish for his quick return.
Glad you enjoyed your visit to the States.
I too don't understand why Obama. However, all I can do is cast my vote and wait. I am not happy with the way things are going - but I am not ready to hand the keys over to him yet. Someday our leaders will think about other things besides being the most powerful.
Hey! how are you? Good to see you back blogging.
