MSTL...my son the lawyer just moved out.
He's on his way with his father and another car load of stuff to Tel Aviv.
He'll be great.
The jury's still out on me.
I'm chickenless in Jerusalem. Actually there are some wonderful, great things about being chickenless in Jerusalem...I just need a few hours to get used to the new me before I remember them.
You'd think I'd be used to this already. It wasn't so long ago that my oldest two moved out. Well, it was about ten years ago...but who's counting.
See, when they abandoned me I still had Joe College.
But...then he had to go into the army. For three long years. During the worst intifada in the universe. Where we were being blown up daily and he still had to get on his bus to go back to his base. And I still had to get on my bus and go downtown into the war zone.
That was fun.
Then he came home. Ptew!!!
Then, he decided he had to go to South America for six months!!! If I remember correctly, I turned to him and said, "With the Nazis and Pirahnna???"
He, smiled his soldier smile and said, "Okay, where do you think I should go?"
To which I quickly said, "Your bedroom would be nice. I'll get cable TV and you can..."
Four months in South America and two months roaming around the wilds of the United States of America...you know places like California, San Fransisco, Boulder, New York!!!
I lived through that. Do you know they have roads called the Roads of Death in South America? I didn't know that till he came home. I also didn't know he was going sky diving until I got the video.
Then he went to law school. Yahoooo. Up the street and back home again hoorah, hoorah!!!
Then, one day he came home and said that he can go to Europe for a semester to study law and he thinks he'll go to Holland.
That's nice, I thought. A few tulips. I can live with that.
So, you see...I should be trained and ready for this move. But, in all those instances, he was coming home.
Now, he has a new home.
But, I made up his bed and put a Bubbie Blanket on...just in case.
Have a great life MSTL!!! You're going to be great.
And, funny enough...I think I am too.
Have a great day...stay safe...and thanks for dropping in.
